About this asset

This Scandinavian-style armchair is a SketchUp model featuring a bright yellow fabric seat supported by a natural wood frame. This armchair features a clean, minimalist aesthetic defined by its light-toned natural wood frame and vibrant yellow upholstered cushions. The design includes a curved backrest and slightly angled armrests, reflecting traditional Scandinavian influences. The seat and back cushions are separate, providing a soft contrast to the rigid, geometric structure of the timber base. The frame's tapered legs and visible joinery details highlight its construction quality. This piece is ideal for interior schemes requiring a touch of warmth and colour, offering a balance between functional ergonomic support and a lightweight, open visual profile.

The download is a 14.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users should manage the asset within a dedicated layer to maintain scene organisation. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient placement and scaling within interior layouts. You can apply custom textures to the fabric and wood materials to match specific project requirements. For high-quality visualisations, consider using a render engine plugin to adjust the material properties, such as bump maps for the fabric weave.

This armchair is well-suited for residential living room configurations, reading nooks, or boutique hospitality lobby areas. It pairs effectively with neutral-toned rugs, side tables, and floor lamps, acting as a focal point in contemporary or Scandi-inspired interiors. Professionals frequently search for such pieces when designing residential projects that require a pop of colour without overwhelming the space. Its versatile form also makes it a practical choice for staging virtual interiors in architectural visualisations, providing a sense of scale and comfort.
