About this asset

This classic SketchUp model features a double-layered fabric curtain in sage green and white, showcasing intricate swags and folds. This window treatment comprises a two-part assembly: a solid, floor-length white base curtain with subtle vertical pleating and an overlay of sage green fabric. The overlay is styled with ornamental swags and gathered side panels that are cinched mid-height, creating a soft, draped aesthetic. The fabric texture is uniform, suggesting a heavy, opaque material suitable for formal interiors. The model is presented as a single unit, capturing the complex geometry of the overlapping folds and the natural cascade of the fabric as it meets the floor.

The download is a 111 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model functions as a single component, allowing for quick placement against window frames or wall planes. Users should ensure the model is scaled correctly to match the specific floor-to-ceiling height of their interior scene. Because the curtain is composed of complex, organic surfaces, it is best placed on a dedicated layer to manage viewport performance. Materials are applied as standard textures, which can be easily adjusted or replaced to match specific project colour palettes or fabric specifications within the native material editor.

This curtain assembly is well-suited for formal residential projects, including primary bedrooms, dining rooms, or living areas where a traditional or neoclassical aesthetic is desired. It also serves effectively in hospitality environments such as hotel suites or banquet halls requiring an elegant, layered window dressing. Professionals seeking to add realism to interior visualisations will find this asset useful for creating depth and softness against plain walls. It pairs effectively with classic furniture styles and ornate architectural detailing, often searched as decorative drapery or window treatments.
