About this asset

This rectangular shag rug for 3ds Max features a distinct geometric lattice motif and textured fringe detail along its short edges. Designed with a classic bohemian aesthetic, this rectangular rug features a raised, textured pile arranged in a repeating diamond-based lattice pattern. The base surface appears smooth, providing a contrast to the dense, shag-style tufting that defines the geometric lines. The short ends of the rug are finished with a delicate, integrated fringe, adding movement and softness to the overall silhouette. Its neutral composition makes it a versatile floor covering, suitable for adding tactile depth to minimalist or eclectic interiors where soft furnishings are required to anchor a space.

The download is a 5.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this model is best utilised by placing it directly onto the floor plane of your scene. Given the nature of the geometry, ensure the object is positioned slightly above the floor surface to prevent clipping. You can easily modify the scale to suit specific room dimensions or adjust the material shaders to better match your project's colour palette. Proper lighting setup will be essential to highlight the depth and texture of the shag-style lattice detailing in your final render.

This rug is ideal for residential living rooms, bedrooms, or nursery spaces where a soft, textured floor treatment is desired. It pairs effectively with mid-century modern or bohemian furniture, such as low-profile sofas or rattan lounge chairs. When searching for this asset, professionals often look for terms like 'shag area rug', 'geometric floor textile', or 'boho-style rug' to populate interior scenes.
