About this asset

This Oriental-style TV cabinet for 3ds Max features dark wood construction with intricate carvings and gold-toned metal hardware. Designed with a low-profile silhouette, this TV cabinet reflects traditional Oriental aesthetics through its flared top edges and detailed relief carvings on the cabinet doors and drawer fronts. The unit comprises two side cupboards for concealed storage and two central drawers positioned beneath an open media shelf. The dark wood finish is complemented by ornate gold-toned metal pulls and hinges, which provide a subtle contrast against the rich timber grain. Its base features decorative apron detailing, maintaining a consistent traditional design language across all visible surfaces and functional components.

The download is a 7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical grouping for easy placement within a scene. Users should check the material editor to ensure the wood textures and metal shaders are correctly linked to the geometry. The model is scaled for standard media console height, allowing for straightforward integration into living room layouts. Lighting should be adjusted to highlight the relief carvings and the metallic sheen of the handles, potentially using an HDRI for realistic reflections on the hardware.

Ideal for residential projects requiring a focal point in a living room, this TV cabinet suits interiors with an Oriental, eclectic, or traditional theme. It pairs effectively with low-slung seating and minimalist decor to balance its ornate detailing. Professionals searching for media consoles, storage units, or traditional wooden furniture will find this piece useful for creating culturally inspired spaces. It is equally appropriate for hotel lobby styling or high-end residential suites where a distinct, characterful furniture piece is required to ground the room design.
