About this asset

This off-white fabric tie-back curtain set is a detailed SketchUp model featuring soft folds and decorative tassel tie-backs. This pair of floor-length curtains features a classic gathered aesthetic, characterised by deep vertical folds and a structured heading that suggests a rod-mounted installation. The fabric is rendered in a soft off-white tone, providing a neutral backdrop suitable for various interior schemes. Each panel is cinched at the waist with a traditional tassel tie-back, which introduces a refined, formal element to the drapery. The geometry captures the natural drape of the textile, with subtle variations in the pleats that provide a realistic sense of volume and weight to the window dressing.

The download is a 6.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, these curtains are best managed as a component to allow for easy scaling to match specific window heights. Users should place the asset on a dedicated 'Curtains' or 'Soft Furnishings' layer to maintain scene organisation. The geometry is clean, but users may need to apply custom material textures if a specific fabric weave or pattern is required. Ensure the component axis is oriented correctly for easy snapping to wall-mounted curtain rods or track systems during the interior modelling process.

These curtains are ideal for traditional or transitional residential projects, particularly in formal living rooms, dining spaces, or master bedrooms. They provide a sense of softness and acoustic dampening in high-end hospitality designs, such as hotel suites or boutique reception areas. Architects and interior designers might search for these when specifying window treatments that require a sense of elegance and symmetry. They pair well with classic cornicing, timber flooring, and ornate furniture pieces to complete a sophisticated, layered interior design scheme.
