About this asset

This collection of four neutral woven area rugs for SketchUp features varied fabric textures and decorative tassel edge detailing. This set includes four distinct rectangular area rugs, each showcasing a subtle, natural weave finish. The palette is composed of soft, muted earth tones, ranging from light beige and off-white to warm grey and deep taupe. Each rug is finished with short, refined tassels along the shorter edges, adding a tactile element to the design. The proportions are varied, offering options for different floor spaces. The construction appears lightweight, suitable for layering or standalone placement in contemporary interiors. The set also includes a small decorative ceramic vase and bowl as supplementary props.

The download is a 31.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 4 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate these rugs into a SketchUp scene, import the component and position them directly onto the floor plane. Since these are flat geometries, ensure they are elevated slightly above the floor surface by a few millimetres to prevent texture flickering. You can easily swap the material maps to adjust the weave density or recolour the fabric to suit your specific project requirements. Using layers to manage these assets will keep your model organised when testing different rug placements within your interior layouts.

These area rugs are ideal for grounding furniture arrangements in residential living rooms, bedrooms, or boutique hotel suites. They pair effectively with minimalist or scandinavian-style upholstery and timber flooring. Designers often use these assets to add warmth to rendering visualisations, placing them under coffee tables or in reading nooks to define zones within open-plan spaces. Search for these when specifying soft floor coverings that require a natural, understated aesthetic without overwhelming the surrounding interior design scheme or architectural finishes.
