About this asset

This SketchUp model features a square neoclassical plaster ceiling panel detailed with an intricate central floral medallion. This square ceiling panel is defined by its formal, symmetrical neoclassical composition. The outer frame features clean, stepped bevelled mouldings that provide a structured border. Centred within this field is a circular relief medallion, densely decorated with delicate foliate motifs and a central rosette. The relief work is precise, capturing the depth and shadow typical of traditional plasterwork. The proportions are balanced, intended for installation as a modular component in coffered ceiling designs or as a singular decorative feature. The geometry is clean and suitable for high-detail interior visualisations.

The download is an 8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is best handled as a component to allow for easy arraying across a ceiling grid. Users should ensure the panel is aligned to the ceiling surface and nested within the appropriate layer for architectural elements. The geometry is lightweight, making it suitable for populating large ceiling areas without significant performance degradation. Standard material application allows for custom finishes, whether simulating painted plaster or aged stone, depending on the project requirements and desired rendering aesthetic.

Designed for use in high-end residential interiors and hospitality environments, this panel is ideal for formal dining rooms, grand entry halls, or luxury suites. It integrates seamlessly into projects requiring period-appropriate architectural detailing or a touch of classical elegance. Professionals often use such assets to enhance ceiling plans and reflected ceiling layouts in luxury refurbishments. It pairs effectively with ornate cornice work, classical wall panelling, and decorative plaster mouldings to create a cohesive, historically informed interior scheme.
