About this asset

This neoclassical ceiling in 3ds Max features a central painted fresco framed by intricate gilded plaster moulding and corner details. The ceiling design presents a sophisticated neoclassical aesthetic, defined by a central rectangular panel featuring a detailed mythological fresco. This central artwork is surrounded by elaborate, raised plaster mouldings finished in a metallic gold tone. The composition includes a prominent central rosette with radiating leaf motifs, complemented by corner accents and a continuous, delicate floral frieze bordering the entire perimeter. The white plaster background provides a clean contrast to the ornate gilded elements, creating a sense of historical grandeur and architectural depth suitable for formal interior spaces that demand refined, classical ornamentation.

The download is a 236 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this ceiling system is best handled as a single geometry object or a modular set of components. Users should ensure the pivot point is aligned to the centre of the ceiling plane for easy snapping to the room's Z-axis. Materials are mapped with specific slots for the gilded plaster and the fresco texture, allowing for adjustment of reflection and glossiness parameters to achieve a realistic finish under various lighting conditions.

This asset is intended for high-end residential projects, luxury hotel lobbies, or heritage renovation visualisations where a period-accurate ceiling is required. It pairs seamlessly with classic chandeliers, crown moulding, and traditional wall panelling. Professionals searching for ornate ceiling details, historical architectural elements, or decorative plasterwork for ballroom and formal dining room renders will find this model effective for adding immediate character and visual richness to a scene without the need for manual modelling of complex geometric reliefs.
