About this asset

This neoclassical plaster ceiling panel in SketchUp features a central circular medallion and ornate corner details for period interiors. This square ceiling panel is designed in a neoclassical style, characterised by its formal symmetry and intricate relief detailing. The central element is a circular ceiling rose featuring radial leaf motifs and beaded edges, framed by a delicate linear moulding. Each corner is anchored by a fan-shaped acanthus leaf ornament, adding depth and architectural character. The panel is finished with a deep, stepped outer border that provides a distinct shadow line. The geometry is clean and precise, suitable for high-end interior visualisations requiring period-accurate ceiling treatments and classical decorative elements.

The download is a 69.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this ceiling panel into a SketchUp model, import the component and snap it to the desired ceiling plane. Due to its detailed geometry, ensure it is placed on a dedicated layer for easy visibility control. Users can adjust the scale to fit specific room dimensions or tile multiple units to create a larger coffered ceiling effect. For final renderings, apply a matte plaster material or custom paint finish to the surface geometry to achieve the desired level of realism.

This decorative element is ideal for period-style residential projects, luxury hotel lobbies, and formal dining rooms where a classic aesthetic is required. It pairs well with traditional coving, ornate wall panelling, and grand chandeliers. Architects and interior designers often search for these components when detailing heritage renovations or creating high-end, traditional-style interiors. The panel serves as a focal point in ceiling design, effectively adding historical weight and visual interest to otherwise plain plasterboard or suspended ceiling surfaces in professional design workflows.
