Neoclassical Blue Velvet Upholstered 3-Seater Sofa

This neoclassical 3-seater sofa, modelled for 3ds Max, features deep blue velvet upholstery and an ornate, silver-finished wooden frame. Defined by its elegant, sweeping silhouette, this 3-seater sofa showcases a refined neoclassical aesthetic. The backrest features intricate button tufting, providing a tactile, structured appearance that contrasts with the smooth, plush seat cushions. A delicate, carved wooden frame with a metallic silver finish contours the entire perimeter of the piece, accentuating the curved back and armrests. The sofa is accompanied by four decorative scatter cushions, upholstered in a contrasting patterned fabric, adding a layer of visual depth. Its proportions are generous, supported by low, carved feet that maintain the piece's balanced, sophisticated profile.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the scene scale is set correctly to maintain the intended proportions of the upholstery and frame. The velvet material can be adjusted via the material editor to control specular highlights and anisotropy, which will help capture the characteristic light-play of the fabric. It is recommended to use a high-quality HDRI map to accurately reflect the metallic sheen of the frame. Organise the geometry into layers to easily separate the cushions from the main frame for efficient scene management.
