About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max side table features a distinctive screw-inspired timber base and a polished metallic bird sculpture accent. Crafted with a focus on organic form and industrial inspiration, this side table resembles a large-scale threaded wood screw. The body is finished in a light natural wood tone, highlighting the grain and a deliberate vertical fissure that adds character. The cylindrical base features pronounced horizontal threading, tapering slightly toward the centre before widening at the top to create a stable surface. A small, sleek metallic bird figurine sits atop the table, providing a reflective contrast to the warm timber textures. The design is compact, making it a sculptural focal point for minimalist interiors.

The download is a 10 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this model is managed as a single asset with distinct material IDs for the wood and metal components. Users should ensure the pivot point is set to the base for easy placement on floor planes. Texture maps for the wood grain can be adjusted via the UVW map modifier to maintain scale across the threaded geometry. Lighting setups should account for the reflective properties of the bird sculpture to ensure accurate highlights and shadows within the final render composition.
