About this asset

This contemporary 6-seater dining set, modelled for 3ds Max, features a live-edge natural wood table paired with fabric-upholstered chairs. The set comprises a rectangular dining table displaying the organic, irregular contours of a live-edge wood slab, supported by a robust dark metal base. Accompanied by six matching dining chairs, the seating features a minimalist design with slim, black metal sled bases. Each chair is upholstered in a neutral beige fabric on the seat and backrest, accented by a bold orange panel across the top of the rear. The set presents a balanced contrast between the raw, warm timber grain of the tabletop and the clean, geometric lines of the modern seating arrangement.

The download is a 24 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 7 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this set is organised for efficient scene integration, allowing for individual manipulation of the table and chairs. Users should verify the scale against the project floor plan before placement. Materials are assigned to distinct object IDs, facilitating quick adjustments to wood textures or fabric colours using the material editor. For optimal rendering results, ensure proper light mapping on the metal components and consider applying a subtle bump map to the live-edge wood surface to enhance its natural tactile quality.

This dining set is suited for modern residential dining rooms, boutique hotel breakfast areas, or informal meeting spaces in creative offices. Its organic live-edge aesthetic pairs well with industrial or minimalist interiors, providing a central focal point that softens rigid architectural lines. Professionals searching for a statement dining solution will find this asset effective for high-end residential visualisations and hospitality design projects where a blend of natural warmth and contemporary comfort is required to create an inviting, functional space.
