About this asset

This modern SketchUp hanging egg chair features a white wicker frame with tan cushions, suspended by a leather-accented strap. Defined by an organic, teardrop-inspired silhouette, this hanging egg chair utilizes a lightweight white wicker grid structure to create an airy, semi-enclosed seating experience. The interior is fitted with a soft, tan-coloured backrest and seat cushion, providing contrast against the skeletal white frame. A structured leather strap connects the top of the shell to the suspension point, adding a refined tactile detail. The proportions are balanced for ergonomic comfort, making it a sculptural addition to any space. The model is presented with clean geometry, suitable for close-up interior visualisations and architectural renders.

The download is a 16 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this component is structured for efficient placement. The geometry is grouped to allow for easy rotation and suspension height adjustment. Users should ensure the model is mapped to a ceiling anchor point or a standalone stand component. Materials are applied with clear texture paths, allowing for quick adjustments to the wicker or fabric finishes via the materials tray. For high-quality rendering, consider applying a subtle bump map to the wicker to enhance the depth and realism of the weave.

Ideal for residential living rooms, sunrooms, or covered outdoor terraces, this chair serves as a focal point in contemporary interior design.
