About this asset

This SketchUp model features a set of modern fabric curtains with a double-layer design, showcasing a clean grey and white aesthetic. These curtains consist of a two-layered panel system, combining an opaque outer layer in a neutral grey with a lighter, semi-sheer white inner layer. The fabric is modelled with natural, vertical folds and pleats, suggesting a soft drape that hangs uniformly from a concealed track or rod. The proportions are vertical and elongated, designed to cover full-height windows or floor-to-ceiling glass partitions. The geometry captures the subtle variations in textile thickness and the way light interacts with the folds, providing a realistic representation of layered window treatments for interior visualisations.

The download is an 11.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these curtains are structured as a component, allowing for easy scaling to fit varying window heights or widths without distorting the pleat geometry. Users can apply custom materials or adjust the transparency of the inner white layer through the material editor to control light filtration. It is recommended to place these on a dedicated layer to manage scene complexity, especially when populating large residential projects with multiple window types.

Ideal for residential interior design, these curtains suit living rooms, bedrooms, or hotel suites where a layered look adds depth and comfort. They pair effectively with minimalist or contemporary furniture, providing a soft contrast to hard surfaces like timber flooring or stone wall cladding. Professionals searching for window coverings, drapes, or textile elements for high-end rendering will find this asset versatile for various daylighting scenarios, from soft morning light to evening ambient settings.
