About this asset

This modern 3ds Max potted maple tree features a delicate, sprawling canopy housed within a minimalist concrete and slatted wood planter. The asset depicts a small-scale maple tree with a characteristic open, airy branching structure and fine, deeply lobed foliage. It is anchored in a cylindrical concrete pot that rests on a base of vertical timber slats. This combination of materials provides a textural contrast between the smooth, industrial grey finish of the upper container and the warm, rhythmic linear quality of the natural wood stand. The soil surface within the pot is finished with a realistic aggregate texture, ensuring a clean, polished appearance suitable for high-end interior visualizations and architectural scenes.

The download is a 38.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is typically managed as a single object or a grouped assembly of foliage and container components. Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned at the base for easy placement on floor surfaces. Materials are mapped with standard textures, allowing for adjustments to the leaf translucency or the wood grain finish to match specific lighting setups. It is recommended to use instances if populating larger spaces to maintain viewport performance during the layout and composition stages of the project.

This botanical asset is ideal for adding life to modern residential living rooms, hotel lobbies, or contemporary office breakout spaces. It works effectively as a focal point in a corner, alongside a lounge chair, or as part of a curated decor set in a reception area. Architects and visualizers will find it useful for enhancing the realism of interior renders, particularly where a touch of nature is needed to soften clean lines and hard surfaces in minimalist or Japandi-inspired design schemes.
