Modern Brown Wood and White Box Partition Shelving

This modern partition shelving unit for 3ds Max features a dark wood slatted frame with integrated white storage boxes. Constructed as a room divider, this shelving unit combines a linear, vertical slatted frame finished in a dark walnut-toned wood with a series of offset, white-painted box shelves. The design relies on a rhythmic grid, where the internal rectangular boxes are staggered across the vertical timber members to create visual interest and varied storage niches. The assembly includes several decorative accessories within the boxes, such as small potted plants and books, providing a sense of scale and utility. The structure is open-backed, allowing light to pass through while defining distinct functional zones within an interior space.

The download is an 18.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this partition unit is best managed as a single grouped object for easy placement within a scene. Users should check the pivot point at the base for accurate floor-level positioning. Materials are mapped to separate IDs for the wood and white components, allowing for quick adjustments to wood grain orientation or paint sheen. The model is scaled to standard room heights, making it suitable for immediate insertion into interior visualisations without requiring complex adjustment of the geometry or UV maps.

Ideal for residential open-plan living areas or modern office reception zones, this piece serves as a semi-transparent room divider that maintains spatial connectivity. It functions well in contemporary interiors where storage and display are required without blocking natural light. Professionals often search for this type of unit when designing loft apartments, minimalist home offices, or boutique retail displays. It pairs effectively with mid-century modern or industrial furniture pieces, adding a structured, architectural element that helps organise large, open floor plates efficiently.
