About this asset

This modern 3ds Max model features a beige fabric armchair with a distinctive curved silhouette and a white pedestal base. This organic-form armchair features a sculptural, curved shell finished in a matte white, supported by a circular pedestal base. The interior is lined with a plush, quilted fabric cushion in a neutral beige tone. The upholstery displays a subtle, repeating textured pattern across the seat and backrest, emphasizing the chair's soft, inviting contours. The overall profile is compact, prioritising a balance between ergonomic support and minimalist aesthetics. The contrast between the rigid, smooth outer shell and the soft, tactile interior makes this piece a distinct sculptural element within a contemporary interior space.

The download is a 9.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned at the base for rotation if the model is intended to function as a swivel chair. The materials are applied as standard multi-sub-object shaders, allowing for easy adjustment of the shell's glossiness or the fabric's bump mapping. It is recommended to check the scale against a standard seat height of 450mm upon insertion into a scene to maintain accurate spatial proportions.

This armchair is well-suited for luxury residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern executive office lounges. It functions effectively as a statement accent chair when paired with minimalist side tables or placed within a reading nook. Designers frequently search for this type of organic seating when looking to break up the linear geometry of a room. It complements contemporary interiors, fitting seamlessly into spaces that require a touch of soft texture and iconic, mid-century inspired design language.
