About this asset

This 3ds Max mid-century lounge chair set features a navy fabric armchair, a natural wood side table, and a potted plant accessory. This three-piece decorative set is defined by its mid-century aesthetic, anchored by a lounge chair with a deep navy fabric upholstery and a distinct angled wooden frame. The armrests are padded and cantilevered, providing a comfortable profile. Accompanying the seating is a small, turned-wood pedestal side table with a simple, solid form. The final element is a spherical, textured light-grey pot containing a delicate, branching plant with dried-style foliage. The collection is designed as a cohesive vignette, balancing the soft, dark textile of the chair with the warmth of natural timber accents.

The download is an 11.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 3 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this collection is organised as a set of grouped objects, allowing for easy placement within a scene. Users should check the pivot points for the chair and table upon merging to ensure correct alignment with floor planes. The materials are pre-assigned, but should be checked for scale and tiling, particularly on the fabric texture. Lighting this vignette requires soft global illumination to highlight the fabric depth and the subtle textures of the wood and ceramic pot surfaces.

This grouping is ideal for populating residential living areas, hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks in interior design projects. It works effectively as a focal point in a corner or as a secondary seating arrangement in a larger open-plan space. Professionals seeking a mid-century look will find this set useful for quick staging in architectural visualisations. It pairs well with neutral wall palettes and minimalist flooring, serving as a functional accent piece that adds character and texture to any interior scene.
