About this asset

This mid-century 2-seater sofa is a SketchUp model featuring a slatted timber frame, green fabric upholstery, and two blue accent cushions. This 2-seater sofa showcases a distinct mid-century aesthetic, defined by its exposed timber frame and slatted side profile. The primary upholstery is rendered in a textured green fabric, providing a soft contrast to the warm brown tones of the wooden base and splayed legs. The backrest and seating area consist of well-proportioned cushions, complemented by two smaller, contrasting blue accent cushions that add a layer of visual depth. Its compact footprint and open-frame design ensure a lightweight appearance, making it suitable for smaller living spaces where maintaining a sense of openness is essential.

The download is an 11.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy selection and placement within your scene. The geometry is clean, making it straightforward to apply your own materials or adjust the existing texture mapping to suit specific project requirements. Ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer to manage scene complexity effectively. When lighting the interior, consider using a soft area light to highlight the texture of the fabric and the natural grain of the wooden frame for realistic results.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern cafe interiors, this piece pairs well with minimalist coffee tables and low-profile side units. Designers often search for mid-century seating to provide a warm, tactile focal point in contemporary open-plan layouts. It functions effectively as a standalone piece or as part of a larger conversation group in a lounge area. Whether specified for a renovation or a new build, this sofa brings a classic, comfortable touch to any interior design scheme.
