Mid-Century Dark Wood Rattan Armchair Decor Set

This mid-century 3ds Max model features a dark wood and rattan armchair paired with a marble pedestal table, artwork, and dried foliage. The set comprises a classic mid-century lounge chair constructed from dark-stained timber with a woven cane backrest and seat. It is accompanied by a minimalist white marble plinth-style side table, a tall brass-based vase containing dried pampas grass, and a framed traditional oil painting. The proportions are balanced for a small reading corner, with the warm tones of the timber and natural cane contrasting against the cool, veined marble surface. Every element is modelled to scale, offering a cohesive visual arrangement suitable for high-end residential interior visualisation projects.

The download is a 61.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 4 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this collection is organised into individual components, allowing for easy selection, repositioning, or extraction of single assets for use elsewhere in the scene. Users should check the pivot points upon merging to ensure correct alignment with floor planes. The materials are ready for standard render engine workflows, though texture paths may require re-linking depending on the local directory structure. Applying a subtle bump map to the cane mesh will enhance the realism of the weave during close-up camera angles.

This vignette is ideal for dressing empty corners in living room, bedroom, or boutique hotel suite renders. It works effectively as a focal point in mid-century or transitional design schemes, pairing well with neutral wall palettes and hardwood flooring. Professionals often search for 'reading nook set' or 'accent chair vignette' to quickly populate architectural visualisations. The inclusion of artwork and accessories makes it a practical time-saver for staging interior scenes without needing to source and arrange individual decor items manually.
