Japanese Natural Wood Tea Ceremony Platform Scene

This Japanese-style tea ceremony platform scene for SketchUp features a low timber table, floor cushions, and a traditional screen. This composed interior scene centres on a raised timber platform with a distinctive organic edge, paired with a minimalist low-profile rectangular tea table. The setup includes three circular floor cushions arranged for traditional seating. A tall, gridded wooden partition serves as a backdrop, featuring a central circular feature panel with a decorative motif. The composition is completed by curated indoor greenery, including small trees, potted shrubs, and a decorative rock, which together establish a serene, meditative environment. The natural wood grain textures throughout the platform and furniture provide a unified, warm aesthetic.

The download is a 124 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users can import this SketchUp file directly into a project workspace as a complete component group. The model is organised with logical layering, allowing for the easy isolation of the platform, furniture, or vegetation assets. Because the scene is pre-composed, it serves as a ready-to-render environment, though individual elements can be extracted and scaled to suit specific floor plate dimensions. Ensure textures are correctly mapped in the native materials editor to maintain the intended wood grain orientation across the platform surfaces.
