Japanese Low-Profile Wooden Dining Set with Floor Chairs

This Japanese-style low-profile dining set for 3ds Max features a solid wood table with six matching floor chairs on a rug. This dining ensemble presents a minimalist aesthetic defined by a low-slung, rectangular timber table paired with six circular floor-seating chairs. The table features a thick, slab-like construction with a prominent wood grain finish. Each chair comprises a simple, curved backrest frame and a rounded, upholstered seat cushion in a neutral brown fabric. The entire configuration is arranged atop a textured woven rug, creating a cohesive, grounded seating area suitable for traditional or modern interior layouts. A small, slender vase sits centrally on the table, providing a subtle, organic focal point to the set.

The download is a 36.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 7 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this set is organised as a collection of individual objects, allowing for easy placement and adjustment within your scene. The materials are pre-assigned, requiring a simple check of your light setup to ensure the wood textures and fabric shaders render correctly. You can easily merge this assembly into your project file, scaling the group as needed to fit specific room dimensions. Ensure the pivot points are correctly aligned to the base of the table for efficient snapping to floor planes.

Ideal for residential dining rooms, tea houses, or hospitality projects seeking a serene, floor-level seating arrangement, this set brings an authentic touch to contemporary interiors. It pairs well with minimalist decor, sliding partition doors, and natural stone flooring. Designers often search for low-profile dining, tatami-inspired furniture, or floor seating solutions when creating meditative or communal spaces. This model is well-suited for early stage concept visualisations and final high-end interior renderings where a relaxed, grounded atmosphere is required for the project narrative.
