Japanese Garden Scene with Pine Tree and Lanterns

This Japanese garden scene 3ds Max model features a sculpted pine tree, stone lanterns, and a gravel base within a metal-framed enclosure. The composition centres on a mature, characterful pine tree with textured bark and layered foliage, positioned alongside a smaller secondary specimen. The ground is finished with a gravel bed, punctuated by naturalistic grey stones and traditional stone lanterns that provide authentic cultural detail. A minimalist, dark metal-framed screen serves as a backdrop, defining the space and creating a sense of enclosure. The proportions are balanced to evoke a meditative aesthetic, suitable for high-end architectural visualisation where specific cultural landscaping elements are required to add depth to exterior or courtyard renders.

The download is a 352 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users can merge this scene directly into larger 3ds Max projects, ensuring the pivot points are adjusted to the ground plane for seamless placement. The vegetation assets are organised into logical layers, allowing for easy selection or modification of foliage density. Materials for the stone and metal components are pre-configured; however, users should verify texture paths and map scaling to ensure consistency with their specific project lighting environment and camera distance settings.

This asset is intended for exterior architectural visualisations, specifically for luxury residential courtyards, hotel atriums, or spa environments. It provides an immediate sense of place for projects requiring a zen-inspired aesthetic or Japanese-style landscaping. Designers often pair this with minimalist concrete or timber cladding to enhance the contrast between natural and man-made elements. It is an essential component when searching for curated exterior garden details, courtyard features, or thematic landscape elements to populate site plans and eye-level perspectives.
