Japandi Light Wood Daybed with Integrated Side Table Set

This SketchUp model features a Japandi-style daybed with an integrated side table, accompanied by a matching coffee table set. The daybed is constructed from light-toned timber, featuring a clean, linear frame with a slatted backrest and a built-in side table platform at one end. A thick, white upholstered mattress provides the base, complemented by a selection of rectangular and bolster cushions in white and dark grey tones. The central arrangement includes a circular wooden coffee table with chunky legs, paired with a smaller, secondary dark grey nested table. This set is grounded by a textured, circular woven rug, creating a balanced, cohesive living room composition that emphasises natural materials and minimalist forms.

The download is a 60 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 3 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this set into a SketchUp project, ensure the components are organized into nested groups or components for easier manipulation. Use the native material editor to adjust the wood grain scale and fabric textures to match your scene lighting. Align the group origin to the floor plane for accurate placement. If the poly count affects viewport performance, consider using the 'Purge Unused' tool to clean the file, or manage visibility by placing the cushions and decor objects on separate layers.

This daybed set is suited for residential living spaces, boutique hotel suites, and relaxation lounges where a calm, minimalist aesthetic is required. It pairs well with light oak flooring, neutral plaster walls, and indoor plants to enhance the Japandi atmosphere. Designers often search for this type of furniture when planning open-plan apartments, reading nooks, or sunlit conservatory spaces. It is a versatile choice for projects focusing on comfort, organic textures, and functional, space-saving design solutions in contemporary interior schemes.
