About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max monkey sculpture table lamp features a grey metallic finish and a white light bulb held by the figure. This sculptural table lamp depicts a seated monkey figure perched atop a cylindrical pedestal base. The monkey is rendered in a textured, weathered grey finish, suggesting a cast metal or resin construction. It holds a single exposed light bulb in its hand, serving as the primary light source. The base provides a sturdy, minimalist foundation, contrasting with the detailed, playful form of the animal. The overall composition is balanced, with the light bulb positioned at eye level, making it a distinct focal point for interior styling in residential or creative commercial spaces.

The download is a 7.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is typically handled as a single mesh object with separate material IDs for the body and the bulb. Users should verify the light source properties, ensuring the bulb material is assigned a self-illuminating or emissive map for realistic glow. Scaling should be adjusted to match the project's specific unit system. It is best placed as a standalone decorative element on side tables or consoles, allowing for light intensity adjustments within the render engine's settings to suit the ambient scene.

This whimsical lamp is suitable for eclectic interiors, modern bedrooms, or informal lounge areas where a touch of character is desired. It pairs well with minimalist furniture, allowing the sculptural form to stand out as an accent piece. Designers often search for unique lighting fixtures, animal-themed decor, or creative table lamps when sourcing items for hospitality projects or residential bedside styling. Its compact, vertical footprint makes it an ideal solution for smaller surfaces where both illumination and artistic flair are required.
