About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model features a grey fabric curtain paired with a white sheer panel, creating a soft, layered window treatment. This window treatment model consists of a two-layered curtain system designed for realistic interior visualisation. The primary layer is an opaque grey fabric with natural, flowing vertical folds that pool slightly at the base, suggesting a heavy, high-quality textile. Behind this sits a light, semi-transparent white sheer panel, which features tighter, consistent pleating to allow for soft light diffusion. The combination provides a balanced aesthetic suitable for both formal and casual settings, offering a clean, modern look that integrates well into various architectural styles while maintaining a sense of domestic comfort.

The download is a 6.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this asset is best utilised as a component, allowing for easy scaling to match specific window heights and widths. Users should ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for curtains to manage scene complexity effectively. Applying material overrides or texture adjustments to the front and back faces will help achieve the desired opacity for the sheer layer, ensuring realistic light transmission when rendering or presenting interior views within the native environment.

These curtains are ideal for residential bedroom and living room projects where a soft, layered aesthetic is required. They pair effectively with minimalist or contemporary furniture arrangements, adding texture and depth to glazed areas. Professionals often search for these assets when detailing floor-to-ceiling windows or patio doors in high-end apartment design and hospitality suites. The neutral palette ensures compatibility with a broad range of interior finishes, making them a versatile choice for concept development and final presentation stages in architectural visualisation workflows.
