About this asset

Double-layer fabric curtains in 3ds Max, featuring a combination of solid grey drapes and translucent white sheers on a single rod. This window treatment assembly comprises two distinct layers of fabric designed to provide both privacy and light diffusion. The primary set consists of opaque, floor-length grey drapes that frame the edges, while the secondary layer features a lighter, semi-transparent white sheer that spans the full width of the rod. Both layers are suspended from a series of small, uniform hooks along the top edge, creating consistent, vertical folds across the material. The proportions are balanced to suit standard residential window heights, offering a clean, layered aesthetic suitable for modern interior schemes.

The download is an 18.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, these curtains are typically managed as a group or individual cloth objects. Users should ensure the material IDs are correctly assigned to distinguish between the opaque and sheer fabric shaders. Scaling should be performed at the sub-object level or by adjusting the vertex positions to fit specific window widths without distorting the natural fold geometry. It is recommended to use a two-sided material setting to capture light transmission accurately through the sheer layer.

These curtains are ideal for residential living rooms, master bedrooms, and hotel guest suites where a layered window dressing is required. They pair well with minimalist interior designs, providing soft texture against harder architectural surfaces like plaster or glass. Professionals often search for these assets when detailing high-end residential projects or hospitality visuals, requiring a versatile, neutral-toned window covering that integrates seamlessly into various room styles. They offer a refined, finished look for both day and night lighting scenarios.
