About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max model features a double-layer fabric curtain set, combining a light sheer panel with heavy grey side drapes. This window treatment assembly consists of a floor-to-ceiling double-layer arrangement. The inner layer is a translucent white sheer fabric, designed to diffuse incoming light while maintaining privacy. Flanking this are two opaque, textured grey blackout panels that provide substantial coverage and visual depth. The curtains are rendered with realistic vertical pleats and natural folds, suggesting a high-quality textile weight. This set is provided as a unified object, capturing the interplay between the lightweight sheer and the heavier, structured drape panels, suitable for high-end interior visualisations requiring realistic window dressing and soft lighting.

The download is a 4.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users should check the pivot point alignment to ensure easy snapping to wall faces. The fabric textures are mapped to handle light transmission, so adjusting the opacity or translucency settings of the sheer layer within the native material editor will allow for precise control over light filtration and shadow casting in the final rendered scene.

These curtains are ideal for residential interiors, including living rooms, master bedrooms, and dining areas where a layered window treatment is desired. They also function effectively in hospitality projects like hotel suites or boutique guest rooms. Designers often pair this model with modern architectural windows to soften the transition between interior and exterior spaces.
