About this asset

This dark wood oriental altar cabinet set for SketchUp features a traditional tiered shrine design with integrated decorative screens. This traditional altar cabinet set is constructed from dark-toned timber, featuring a compact lower cupboard with two doors and a raised altar surface. The assembly is framed by a tall, open-work lattice screen that provides a backdrop for the ritual space. Included in the set are several ceremonial ceramic items, specifically a central incense burner and flanking vessels, arranged precisely for a formal presentation. The proportions are vertical and structured, reflecting classic wood-working techniques found in heritage domestic interiors, with clean lines and subtle ornamental detailing on the cabinet doors.

The download is a 34.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this SketchUp model into a project, use the component hierarchy to manage the altar objects separately from the main cabinet structure. The model is scaled for standard residential ceiling heights, though the lattice screen can be adjusted in height if necessary. Apply wood texture maps to the primary surfaces and ensure the ceramic components have appropriate material settings for realistic light reflection. The model is organised in logical groups, allowing for easy placement within a niche or against a feature wall.

This altar cabinet is intended for high-end residential projects, particularly those requiring cultural or traditional interior elements. It fits seamlessly into modern homes that incorporate a dedicated spiritual space, meditation room, or formal living area. Architects and designers can use this asset when detailing interiors for luxury apartments or villas that celebrate heritage aesthetics. It pairs well with minimalist furniture or traditional oriental decor, making it a suitable choice for projects needing a refined, culturally specific focal point in a quiet corner.
