About this asset

This contemporary cream rectangular rug for SketchUp features a subtle tonal border detail, providing a soft foundation for interiors. This rectangular area rug is defined by its clean, minimalist aesthetic and neutral colour palette. The central field is a solid, soft-textured cream, framed by a distinct border in a slightly darker beige tone. The border incorporates a subtle, curved geometric motif at the corners, which adds a touch of understated elegance without overwhelming the design. With a low-profile pile that suggests a high-quality wool or synthetic blend, the rug offers a smooth, uniform surface that integrates seamlessly into a wide variety of contemporary floor finishes, from dark timber to light stone.

The download is a 5.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Integrating this rug into a SketchUp scene is straightforward. As a flat surface component, it should be positioned slightly above the floor plane to prevent Z-fighting. Users can easily scale the object to fit specific room dimensions while maintaining the aspect ratio of the border detail. Applying a soft-shadow setting in the render engine will help ground the object, while adjusting the material transparency or bump maps can further enhance the tactile quality of the fabric texture in final visualisations.

This rug is an essential asset for styling living rooms, bedrooms, and high-end hotel suites where a neutral, grounding element is required. It pairs exceptionally well with mid-century modern furniture, minimalist sofas, and natural wood flooring. Architects and interior designers will find it useful for populating residential projects during the concept or presentation stage.
