About this asset

This contemporary lounge chair is a SketchUp model featuring an organic, curved silhouette upholstered in cream fabric on a wood base. This lounge chair features a soft, bulbous aesthetic defined by an oversized, rounded backrest that flows seamlessly into integrated armrests. The seat is deep and plush, creating a cohesive, organic form that rests on a low-profile, circular wooden base. The upholstery is rendered in a neutral cream fabric, providing a textural contrast to the smooth, natural wood finish visible at the base. Its proportions are compact yet comfortable, making it an ideal piece for relaxed lounge environments. The absence of sharp edges or rigid lines emphasises its fluid, contemporary design language.

The download is a 4.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this SketchUp model into your project, simply import the file as a component and place it using the move tool. The geometry is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy material replacement or texture scaling if necessary. Since the model is lightweight, it will not significantly impact your scene performance. Use the native SketchUp material editor to adjust the fabric mapping or apply custom finishes to the wooden base to match your specific interior design scheme and lighting requirements.

This lounge chair is well-suited for modern residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, and creative office breakout areas. Its soft, inviting profile works effectively as an accent piece in a reading corner or as part of a larger seating arrangement alongside a low coffee table. Professionals searching for organic-shaped seating or contemporary accent furniture will find this model useful for adding comfort and visual interest to rendered interior spaces, particularly when paired with minimalist decor or natural materials like stone and timber.
