About this asset

This contemporary room partition SketchUp model features a wood-framed structure with integrated shelving and base storage cabinets. Designed as a multifunctional room divider, this unit combines a solid wood-finish frame with clean white base cabinets. The upper section is divided into vertical slats on the flanks, framing an open central display area with a decorative hexagonal lattice screen. Proportions are balanced for mid-height visual separation, providing both privacy and storage. The structure includes fixed shelves for decor, while the bottom consists of six closed cupboards with a continuous white finish. Its clean lines and geometric detailing offer a versatile aesthetic suitable for defining zones within an open-plan living space or modern office.

In SketchUp, this model is structured with grouped geometry, allowing for easy placement and alignment against walls or as a floating room divider. Users can apply custom wood grain textures to the frame or adjust the white cabinet faces using the materials editor. Since the central lattice is intricate, ensure that face orientation is consistent to maintain clean rendering results. The model is ideal for quick interior staging, providing a ready-to-use asset that can be scaled to fit specific floor-to-ceiling heights.

This partition is well-suited for open-plan residential layouts, such as separating a dining area from a living room, or for creating semi-private zones in a contemporary home office. Designers often use such pieces to introduce storage without sacrificing light flow. It pairs effectively with modern minimalist furniture and neutral palettes.
