Contemporary Walnut Wood Irregular Mirror with Integrated Shelf

Contemporary walnut wood irregular mirror with an integrated shelf, modelled in SketchUp as a functional wall-mounted element. This wall-mounted mirror features an asymmetric, organic silhouette framed in rich, dark-toned walnut wood. A distinctive design element is the integrated solid-wood shelf protruding from the frame, providing a small surface for decorative objects or daily essentials. The proportions are elongated, suitable for full-length viewing while maintaining a sculptural presence on the wall. The smooth, rounded edges of the frame transition seamlessly into the shelf structure, creating a cohesive and minimalist aesthetic. The reflective surface is clear and expansive, framed within the continuous timber border that follows the irregular, fluid geometry.

The download is a 273 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, this model is best utilised as a component to ensure easy placement and scaling within your interior scenes. Use the native material properties to adjust the wood grain orientation or the mirror reflection intensity to suit your specific lighting setup. The file is structured to allow for simple wall-mounting; ensure the axis is correctly aligned with your wall surface to prevent clipping issues during rendering or when generating section views for interior elevations.

Ideal for residential entryways, dressing areas, or boutique hotel lobbies, this piece adds a sculptural focal point to any interior. It pairs effectively with mid-century or contemporary lounge furniture, particularly when placed above a console or beside a feature chair. Designers often search for this type of statement mirror when looking to enhance small spaces with depth and functional storage. It works well in residential design projects, retail showrooms, or hospitality interiors where a balance of natural materials and unique forms is required.
