Contemporary Walnut Timber Two-Bay Open Bookshelf with Decor

This contemporary 3ds Max model features a two-bay open bookshelf in walnut timber, complete with integrated drawers and curated decor. Constructed from rich walnut timber, this two-bay open bookshelf balances structural clarity with functional storage. The design features a slender frame supporting multiple horizontal shelves of varying heights, ideal for displaying objects. The base of each bay incorporates a single wide, flush-fronted drawer with a minimalist handle, providing concealed storage. The unit arrives pre-populated with a detailed selection of decorative items, including books, ceramic vessels, small sculptures, and a trailing potted plant. The warm wood grain and clean, linear proportions lend the piece a refined, airy aesthetic suitable for modern interiors.

The download is a 417 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into a 3ds Max scene, merge the file into your project workspace and apply the appropriate texture paths to the walnut materials. The model is organised by layers, allowing for the easy isolation of the shelving unit from the included decorative accessories if needed. Ensure the pivot point is set to the base for precise placement against walls or as a room partition. Use standard V-Ray or Corona lighting setups to highlight the natural timber grain and reflective ceramic surfaces.

This storage solution fits seamlessly into high-end residential living rooms, home offices, or executive suites where a blend of open display and closed storage is required. Its neutral, sophisticated wood finish pairs well with mid-century or contemporary furniture layouts. Designers frequently search for this type of shelving when sourcing pieces for luxury apartment staging or professional library environments. It provides an immediate sense of lived-in character to architectural visualisations, especially when placed against feature walls or used to define circulation zones.
