About this asset

This contemporary 3-seater sofa, modelled for SketchUp, features a taupe fabric upholstery and a slender black metal frame. This contemporary 3-seater sofa features a clean, architectural silhouette defined by its minimalist metal frame. The seat, backrest, and armrests are upholstered in a textured taupe fabric, providing a soft contrast to the dark, rigid base. The design includes slim, cantilevered-style armrests that extend slightly beyond the frame, adding a subtle geometric detail. The cushions appear well-proportioned, offering a balanced aesthetic suitable for modern interiors. Its elevated stance on thin metal legs creates a sense of lightness, preventing the piece from appearing overly heavy within a living space or lounge area.

The download is a 16.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is structured with clean geometry, making it straightforward to integrate into residential floor plans. Users should ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for easy visibility toggling during the design process. The fabric texture is mapped to provide a realistic finish, though scaling may be required to match specific project requirements. When rendering, the dark metal frame responds well to ambient lighting, so consider adjusting the reflection settings on the base material to enhance the overall visual depth.

This 3-seater sofa is well-suited for contemporary living rooms, hotel lobbies, and high-end residential projects. Its neutral taupe tone and minimalist frame allow it to pair seamlessly with various interior palettes, from industrial to refined modern. Designers often search for this type of furniture when looking to create comfortable, elegant seating arrangements in open-plan spaces. It functions effectively as a focal piece in a lounge configuration or as a secondary seating option in a professional office waiting area or boutique hospitality environment.
