About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a deep red ribbed velvet upholstery supported by slender metallic brass legs. This tub-style armchair is defined by its rounded silhouette and pronounced vertical channel tufting across the seat and backrest. The upholstery is a rich red velvet, which creates a textured, light-catching surface. It sits on four tapered, polished brass legs that provide a refined contrast to the soft, rounded form of the seat. A square accent cushion with a bold, abstract monochromatic pattern is included, resting against the backrest. The proportions are compact, making it suitable for intimate seating areas where both comfort and visual impact are required for the interior scheme.

The download is a 19 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

The model is provided as a 3ds Max asset, ready for integration into architectural scenes. Users should check the pivot point upon import to ensure proper alignment with the floor plane. The velvet texture uses procedural or mapped channels that can be adjusted in the material editor to suit specific lighting conditions. Given the metallic finish of the legs, ensure your environment includes appropriate reflections to capture the brass highlights. The cushion is a separate object, allowing for easy repositioning or removal within the scene hierarchy.

This piece is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or upscale lounge areas. It works well as a standalone statement piece in a reading nook or paired with a small side table for an intimate conversation zone. Designers often search for this type of accent chair when looking to introduce texture and a pop of colour into contemporary or eclectic interiors. It complements minimalist spaces that require a focal point, as well as more maximalist designs that embrace rich colour palettes.
