Contemporary Navy Velvet Tufted Chesterfield Sofa

This contemporary navy velvet tufted Chesterfield sofa for 3ds Max features deep buttoning and a set of contrasting decorative cushions. This three-seater sofa reinterprets the classic Chesterfield silhouette with a modern, clean-lined aesthetic. The entire frame, including the low-profile back and integrated rolled arms, is finished in a deep navy velvet upholstery featuring extensive diamond-pattern button tufting. The seat cushion maintains a seamless, tufted appearance consistent with the backrest. Proportions are generous and low-slung, creating a solid, grounded profile. Included are three scatter cushions in varying tones of grey and a single burnt-orange accent piece, providing a subtle contrast to the dark, monochromatic frame of the main seating unit.

The download is a 6.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming to facilitate easy selection and material management. The velvet texture is mapped to respond appropriately to light, capturing the characteristic sheen of the fabric. Users should check the scale against their scene units before placement, as the tufted geometry is dense. For high-end visualisations, applying a subtle noise modifier or adjusting the bump maps will help enhance the realism of the buttoned upholstery details during final render passes.

Ideal for luxury residential interiors, this sofa serves as a sophisticated focal point in formal living rooms, home libraries, or high-end hotel lobby seating areas. It pairs well with metallic accents, dark timber flooring, or minimalist marble coffee tables to anchor a space. Professionals searching for a statement piece with a tactile, plush finish will find this asset suitable for projects requiring a blend of traditional comfort and contemporary elegance in their 3D interior design schemes and architectural visualisations.
