About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max coffee table features a rectangular glass top supported by a natural wood frame with woven rope detailing. This coffee table showcases a blend of organic textures and sleek lines, suitable for modern interior schemes. The primary structure consists of a solid wood frame with four slender, tapered legs that provide a light, airy silhouette. Across the top surface of the frame, a dense layer of natural fibre rope is woven, creating a tactile, textured platform that sits beneath a clear, tempered rectangular glass top. This combination of materials offers a balance between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary transparency, ensuring the piece remains a subtle focal point in a living space.

The download is a 9.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with distinct object layers for the timber frame, rope weaving, and glass surface, facilitating easy material assignment. Users should ensure the glass material is set with appropriate refraction and reflection parameters to achieve a realistic finish. The model is scaled for standard residential use, though it can be adjusted via non-uniform scaling tools if necessary. It is recommended to use an HDRI environment map to correctly capture the reflections on the glass and the highlights on the wood.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lounges, or high-end waiting areas, this table pairs well with low-profile sofas and lounge chairs. Designers often specify this piece for projects requiring a blend of natural warmth and clean, contemporary aesthetics. It serves as an effective centrepiece when styled with minimal decor, such as ceramic vessels or coffee table books, as shown in the preview.
