Contemporary Multicolour Kids Bedroom Scene with Integrated Desk

A contemporary kids bedroom scene in SketchUp, featuring an integrated bed, desk, and modular storage with a feature arched wall. This comprehensive bedroom scene for children centres on a bed framed by a large illuminated arched headboard alcove. The joinery includes integrated full-height wardrobes and open shelving finished in a palette of white, muted blue, and terracotta. A compact desk is attached to the left shelving unit, accompanied by a modern task chair. The composition is completed with soft furnishings, including decorative animal-themed cushions, a textured rug, and various toys. The design balances functional storage with playful, child-centric aesthetics, utilizing clean lines and a structured layout to maximise space in a compact room footprint.

The download is a 103 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this scene into SketchUp, utilise the component hierarchy to isolate individual furniture pieces for use in other projects. Ensure the model is placed at the correct origin point and check layer organisation to manage the complexity of the combined elements. Apply materials using the native material editor, paying close attention to the light-emitting properties of the arched headboard to maintain the intended atmosphere. Adjust the overall scale to match your project's specific floor-to-ceiling heights before final rendering.
