About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max floor lamp features an organic, textured metallic stem and an integrated side table with a glass shade. Combining functional lighting with an auxiliary surface, this floor lamp showcases a distinct sculptural aesthetic. The main vertical support features a highly textured, organic metallic finish that mimics molten metal or geological formations. A small, circular side table is cantilevered from the stem, supported by a smooth, tapered pedestal base. The lamp is topped with an angled, translucent glass shade that diffuses light softly. The overall composition is balanced yet asymmetric, making it a focal point for modern interiors that favour artistic, non-linear forms and mixed-material textures.

The download is a 6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised by logical naming conventions for easy selection and material management. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient placement within a scene. Users should verify the light intensity of the emissive material on the shade, adjusting the multiplier to suit the exposure settings of their specific render engine. The metallic stem and the smooth base are separated into distinct objects or layers to allow for independent material tweaks or quick adjustments to the reflective properties of the metallic surfaces.

This piece is ideal for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks where space is at a premium. It serves as both a task light and a convenient surface for a book or a small decorative object. Designers often place this floor lamp adjacent to lounge chairs or sofas to create an intimate, sophisticated corner.
