About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max model features a hybrid shelving unit combining open display shelves with a solid vertical storage block. The unit presents a sophisticated contrast between a slender black metal frame and warm, textured grey wood elements. It consists of an open shelving section with horizontal tiers, ideal for books and decor, integrated with a solid, full-height storage cabinet on the right. The cabinet door features a distinct vertical fluted or slatted texture, adding depth to the facade. The open shelves are finished in a dark, matte tone that complements the structural frame, creating a balanced, minimalist aesthetic suitable for modern interiors requiring both functional storage and display capabilities.

The download is a 16 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is organised with logical layer separation for the metal frame, shelving surfaces, and the solid cabinet door. Users can easily adjust the wood grain mapping or replace the diffuse textures to match specific interior palettes. The model is scaled for standard room heights, allowing for quick insertion into scenes. Ensure the pivot point is set to the base for precise placement against walls or as a room divider within architectural visualisations.

This storage solution fits seamlessly into high-end residential living rooms, home libraries, or executive office environments where a blend of open and closed storage is required. It pairs well with minimalist furniture and neutral colour schemes, serving as a functional focal point. Professionals searching for bespoke joinery-style storage, modern room dividers, or display shelving for interior design projects will find this model versatile for various floor plans, particularly when staging contemporary apartments or professional workspaces requiring tidy, organised aesthetics.
