Contemporary Grey Velvet 3-Seater Sofa with Integrated Shelving

This contemporary 3-seater sofa 3ds Max model features channel-tufted grey velvet upholstery with integrated side storage shelving. Defined by a structured, rectilinear silhouette, this 3-seater sofa showcases a distinct channel-tufted seat and backrest upholstered in a soft, grey velvet fabric. The design integrates functional storage niches into the outer side panels, finished in a dark, solid material that contrasts with the plush upholstery. The overall form is low-profile and compact, emphasizing clean lines and modular geometry. The seat and back cushions form a continuous, unified surface, while the side storage compartments provide open shelving, ideal for organizing books or small decorative items within a living space.

The download is a 32.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organized into logical layers, allowing for easy separation of the upholstery and the rigid storage components. Users should ensure the velvet material is assigned appropriate reflection and bump maps to capture the fabric's soft sheen. The file is scaled to real-world units; simply merge it into your scene and apply a standard UVW map to the cushions if adjustment is needed for specific lighting setups or closer camera angles within your interior visualization workflow.

This piece is well-suited for modern living rooms, open-plan apartments, or high-end hotel lobbies where space-saving furniture is required. Its combination of seating and storage makes it a practical choice for compact urban interiors or reading nooks. Professionals might search for this under terms like channel-tufted sofa, contemporary velvet lounge, or sofa with integrated storage. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables, textured area rugs, and ambient floor lamps to create a sophisticated, functional seating arrangement in residential or commercial design projects.
