Contemporary Grey Plastic Lounge Chair with Fabric Cushion

This contemporary lounge chair for 3ds Max features a robust grey plastic shell supported by chunky pillars and a tufted off-white cushion. Defined by its bold, sculptural silhouette, this lounge chair features a deep, circular tub-style seat constructed from a smooth, matte-finish grey plastic. The form is supported by a series of four substantial, cylindrical legs that provide a grounded, heavy aesthetic. Inside the shell, a thick, tufted cushion in a soft off-white fabric provides contrast to the rigid frame, following the curvature of the seat to ensure comfort. The proportions are low and wide, making it a distinct statement piece that balances industrial-inspired structural elements with a soft, inviting upholstered interior.

The download is a 28 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, users should ensure the pivot point is set to the base of the legs for accurate placement on floor surfaces. The geometry is clean, allowing for easy material assignment or modification of the plastic finish to match specific project requirements. Standard workflow involves applying an HDRI for realistic reflections on the plastic shell and using a displacement or normal map to enhance the fabric texture of the internal cushion during the final rendering process.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern office breakout spaces, this chair serves as an effective accent piece. It pairs well with minimalist side tables or as part of a curated seating group in a contemporary interior. Professionals might search for this asset when looking for sculptural seating, chunky furniture designs, or statement lounge chairs for high-end residential projects.
