Contemporary Grey Marble Reception Desk with White Base

This contemporary SketchUp reception desk features a striking curved grey marble form supported by a contrasting white marble base. The desk exhibits a sculptural, boat-like silhouette that tapers towards the ends, creating a dynamic visual profile. Its main body is clad in a rich, veined grey marble, while the structural base is finished in a lighter, white-toned marble with subtle veining. A raised, curved screen section provides a functional buffer for staff, maintaining the desk's sleek, minimalist aesthetic. The proportions are elongated, intended to serve as a primary focal point in a high-end lobby or entrance area, balancing heavy stone materiality with an elegant, streamlined geometry that feels both grounded and modern.

The download is a 14.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, the model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy placement and orientation within your project file. Users should ensure the model is scaled correctly to their floor plan before applying custom materials if further variation is required. The geometry is clean, facilitating efficient rendering when paired with standard lighting setups. For optimal results, place this desk on its own layer to manage visibility in complex lobby scenes or when coordinating with interior fit-out drawings and lighting plans.

This piece is ideal for high-end commercial interiors, including luxury office lobbies, boutique hotel reception areas, or modern retail showrooms. It pairs effectively with minimalist wall treatments and refined lighting fixtures, such as the slim pendant shown in the reference imagery. Search for this asset when specifying statement furniture for professional environments requiring a sophisticated, high-impact aesthetic. It works well in projects focusing on luxury materials and clean, contemporary lines where the reception desk acts as a defining architectural element.
