About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model features a long reception desk with a layered marble countertop and a distinctive slatted wood base. This reception desk showcases a sophisticated blend of textures, featuring a prominent, elongated countertop crafted from grey veined marble. The surface appears composed of stacked, elliptical layers that create a sculptural, stepped effect. Beneath this, the main body of the desk is constructed from a series of horizontal timber slats, providing a warm, rhythmic contrast to the cool stone. The design is linear and substantial, suited for a prominent entrance area. The model includes two integrated computer monitors, providing a sense of scale and immediate context for professional interior layouts.

The download is a 3.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this asset into a SketchUp scene, place the component at the origin point of your reception area model. Use the move tool to align the desk against a feature wall or as a floating island. The textures are mapped to the geometry, so ensure your material library paths are correctly linked to maintain the wood grain and marble veining. If rendering, apply high-quality reflection settings to the marble surface to capture the surrounding office lighting and depth.

Ideal for corporate office lobbies, high-end hospitality reception areas, or boutique retail showrooms, this desk acts as a primary focal point. It pairs effectively with minimalist seating, indoor plants, and architectural lighting installations. Professionals searching for a modern statement piece for a commercial entrance will find this asset useful for design development and client presentations. It works well within contemporary workspaces where a blend of natural materials and clean, sculptural forms is required to establish a premium, welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
