About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp reception desk features a striking grey marble front panel with a flowing, organic edge over fluted wood. Defined by a sophisticated contrast of textures, this long reception desk combines a slab of polished grey marble with a base of vertical timber fluting. The marble front panel is cut with a sweeping, wave-like profile that exposes the warm, textured wood slats beneath. Its elongated linear form is designed for multi-user functionality, providing ample surface area for administrative tasks and client interaction. The clean, minimalist upper surface maintains a professional aesthetic, while the organic intersection of the stone and wood elements adds a distinct architectural character to the piece.

The download is an 8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this model into SketchUp, ensure the component is placed on a dedicated layer for easy visibility control. The geometry is clean, allowing for straightforward material mapping if you choose to customise the stone or timber textures. Use the native scaling tools to adjust the length to fit specific lobby dimensions, and consider adding local lighting components to highlight the fluted wood detailing during the rendering process for a realistic finish.

Ideal for high-end corporate lobbies, boutique hotel reception areas, or modern retail showrooms, this desk serves as a primary focal point. It pairs well with minimalist architectural interiors and neutral material palettes. Professionals searching for a statement piece in commercial design projects will find this asset suitable for both initial space planning and final visualisations. It is particularly effective in environments requiring a blend of professional functionality and contemporary luxury, fitting seamlessly into various high-traffic professional settings.
