Contemporary Grey Leather Swivel Lounge Chair

This contemporary grey leather lounge chair for 3ds Max features a distinctive circular cutout backrest and a sleek four-star swivel base. Defined by its organic, fluid silhouette, this lounge chair features a continuous shell that wraps around to form a low backrest with a prominent circular opening. The seat is upholstered in a smooth, matte-finish grey leather with subtle tonal stitching along the seams. A separate, circular cushion provides comfort, resting atop the integrated shell. The base is constructed from polished metal, branching into a four-point star configuration that offers a clean, minimalist profile. The proportions are compact and low-slung, making it an ideal piece for focused seating areas or as a stylish accent.

The download is a 17.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned with the base for smooth rotation if animation is required. The asset is structured with logical layer separation, allowing for easy material adjustments or modifications to the metal finish. Users should apply high-quality environment maps to the polished metal base to accurately reflect the surrounding interior. Scaling should be verified against standard seat heights to ensure proper ergonomic placement within a room layout.

This piece works well in modern residential living rooms, executive office suites, or boutique hotel lobbies. It pairs effectively with low-profile coffee tables or as a standalone reading chair in a quiet corner. Designers often search for this type of asset when specifying compact lounge seating that offers a sculptural element without overwhelming the space. It is suitable for projects ranging from high-end residential interiors to contemporary commercial breakout areas, providing a sophisticated look that complements both minimalist and eclectic design schemes.
