Contemporary Grey Leather and Wood Armchair

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a timber frame and grey leather upholstery, providing a clean profile for interior scenes. Defined by its honest construction, this armchair pairs a linear timber frame with stretched grey leather seat and back panels. The design relies on exposed joinery, where the seat and back are tensioned between the wooden side supports. The armrests are flat, extending slightly beyond the front legs, while the backrest features a distinct cut-out detail where it attaches to the frame. The wood grain is visible throughout the structure, finished in a mid-tone, while the leather displays a smooth, matte texture that complements the architectural simplicity of the chair's overall silhouette.

In 3ds Max, this model is managed through standard object layering. Users can easily adjust the wood or leather shaders to match specific project requirements by modifying the material slots within the editor. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient placement in larger interior scenes without excessive overhead. When integrating, ensure the pivot point is set to the base for precise placement on finished floor surfaces, and consider applying custom lighting to highlight the material contrast between the wood frame and leather panels.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive office waiting areas. Its understated aesthetic pairs effectively with modern coffee tables or as a standalone accent piece in a reading nook. Designers frequently search for this type of clean-lined seating when specifying furniture for minimalist or contemporary spaces that require a balance of warmth and industrial precision. It serves as a versatile anchor for neutral-toned interiors, providing both functional seating and a strong, geometric visual element.
