About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max shoe cabinet features a sleek grey lacquer finish and a matching wall-mounted mirror for entryways. This storage unit presents a minimalist aesthetic with clean lines and a functional two-door configuration. The cabinet body is finished in a smooth, matte grey, accented by a contrasting dark-toned top surface. It includes a rectangular wall-mounted mirror that complements the cabinet's proportions. The design is compact and elevated on short, integrated side panels, providing a lightweight appearance suitable for narrow hallways or compact vestibules. Included in the set is a small potted plant, adding a touch of organic texture to the otherwise structured, geometric composition of the furniture pieces.

The download is an 8.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this model is organised by logical grouping, allowing for easy placement and alignment against walls. Users should verify the pivot points are set at the base for efficient snapping to floor planes. The materials are applied using standard mapping, which can be adjusted or replaced to match specific interior lighting conditions. The mirror surface is set up with a reflective material, which may require a quick adjustment to the reflection map or ray-trace settings to suit the project's specific scene environment.

Ideal for residential entryways, mudrooms, or narrow corridors, this cabinet provides a practical solution for concealed footwear storage. It pairs effectively with modern interior schemes, particularly in apartments where space-saving furniture is required. Designers often search for this type of asset when detailing hallway joinery or creating realistic foyer scenes for architectural visualisations. It fits seamlessly into projects focusing on clean, contemporary aesthetics, serving as a functional focal point that organises clutter while providing a necessary reflective surface for final grooming checks before leaving.
