About this asset

This contemporary grey fabric ottoman bench for 3ds Max features a square-tufted surface and includes an integrated fabric throw. This rectangular, low-profile ottoman is defined by its clean, boxy silhouette and uniform square-tufted upholstery. The piece is finished in a neutral grey textile, providing a versatile aesthetic suitable for various interior schemes. The top surface is divided into a grid of padded squares, creating a subtle geometric texture across the seating area. Included with the model is a draped, soft-textured fabric throw that cascades over one side, adding a sense of lived-in realism. The proportions are compact, making it an ideal choice for placement at the foot of a bed or as a central lounge accent.

The download is a 5.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, use the native object hierarchy to manage the separate elements of the ottoman and the draped throw. Apply subdivision modifiers if closer camera angles are required for the fabric folds. The texture maps should be assigned via a standard material editor, ensuring the fabric scale is adjusted to match the scene units. For optimal lighting, utilize an HDRI map to capture the soft highlights across the tufted surfaces and the folds of the draped fabric accessory.

This ottoman serves as a functional and decorative element in residential master bedrooms, walk-in closets, or modern living room seating arrangements. It works well as a footstool paired with lounge chairs or as a standalone bench for dressing areas. Designers often search for this type of piece when specifying neutral, textured furniture to ground a contemporary space. It is particularly effective in luxury hotel suites or high-end residential projects where a soft, tactile accent is needed to enhance the comfort of the interior.
